When I took a break next to the Arc de Triompe du Carrousel, I watched all the tourists admiring the sights, posing for photos, reading their travel guides or the city map - I wasn´t bored at all ;-)

This beehive decorates a building on the corner Rue Pierre Lescot/Rue Rambuteau. The beehive is a commonly used symbol dating at least to Roman times. In medieval heraldry it was considered a symbol of industry. In modern times, it is used in Freemasonry. In masonic lectures is explained as symbol of industry and co-operation,
and as cautioning against intellectual laziness.
The "Used Book Café" is part of the concept store "Merci" on Boulevard Beaumarchais. The special thing of this store is that all profits are donated to charities. Click here for another photo of this café.
The Cour Damoye in the 11th district is a beautiful and calm private pedestrian passage with a lot of photo opportunities.
In July and August the "Paris Plages" event transforms the roadways on the banks of the Seine and the docks of the Bassin de la Villette into sandy beaches and offers varied activities for children and adults. I couldn´t get enough of watching the salsa and mambo dancers at the Bassin de la Villette.
This yellow house is located in Rue Crémieux in the 12th arrondissement. And there´s also a blue door!
