Place des Victoires

The equestrian monument in the center of the Place des Victoires is to King Louis XIV, it commemorates the Treaties of Peace of Nijmegen which ended the Franco-Dutch War (1672-1678).

    Thanks for the history and background. I was there in December and took photos inside the Basilique Notre Dames des Victoires which is just north of this monument.
