White Drama
When I was in Paris in July there was a second exhibition at Les Docks: "Comme des Garçons. White Drama" comprises the spring/summer 2012 collection of Comme des Garçons which evokes the ceremonial passage through life - birth, marriage, death, transcendence. The exibition is on show until October 7.

Cristóbal Balenciaga Exhibition #1
I love fashion exhibitions and Paris is the perfect place for this affection. Until October 7 runs an exhibition of Cristóbal Baliencaga (1895-1972) at the Cité de la Mode et du Design. Organized by the Musée Galliera (Musée de la mode et du costume) with the support of the House of Balenciaga,
the show features more than 70 costumes and ephemera of the 18th, 19th,
and 20th centuries (Balenciaga was an avid collector of period pieces that gave him inspiration), juxtaposed with 40 Balenciaga garments. Click here for a short video.

Les Docks
The industrial buildings, the Magasins Généraux, located on the Left
Bank between the Gare d'Austerlitz and the Bibliothèque François
Mitterand, have undergone an audacious architectural renovation. This new site is now home to the Institut Français de la Mode, a
space for events dedicated to fashion and design as well as stores.
