It´s time for another blue door! I stumbled upon this one on Boulevard Beaumarchais. Not only the blue door itself caught my eyes, but also the beautiful stony adornment.P.S.: Sorry for not posting daily in the last weeks, my life was a little topsy-turvy...
I love the cover of the menu of the restaurant "Le Square Trousseau" in the 11th arrondissement. I went there only once for breakfast, but I surely will be back in four months!
Today is "Jour du Macaraon" (Macaron Day) in France, an annual celebration of the delicate meringue-based confections. Pierre Hermé, who launched this event in 2005, will be offering free macarons (4 per capita) in his Paris stores as will other participating members of the Relais Desserts association (Sadahru Aoki, Laurent Duchêne, Jean-Paul Hévin and Arnaud Larher). What a pity that I´m not able to participate in this day!!!
At Bert´s, a "contemporary café", near the Pont de l´Alma. Basically it´s a fast food café where you can eat quickly, well and healthy. Wifi access and magazines are available free of charge.
Whereas in Vienna you see mostly old women with shopping caddies, in Paris it´s a completely normal thing for old AND young. This lady opted for a Barbapapa shopping caddy. Can you blame her?
In October 2008 there was a great exhibition of French fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier at the Petit Palais. His photographs were fused with the museum´s permanent collection which created a very interesting atmosphere.
These days there was a lot of agitation at Dior thanks to John Galliano. I´m sorry and disappointed, but also think that Mr. Galliano did a lot of great designs for Dior.
